The Sunday Recap - Down the Rabbit Hole 10

January 5, 2019

A new year upon us but no rest for the crypto wicked. Lots to take in this last week from a rare fair mainstream article on crypto to MimbleWimble explored, 2018 predictions revisited and new ones made, to a very interesting take on DPOS from an Asian based EOS sister chain. A lot has been left on the editing floor but hopefully what remains will be of interest and or use to crypto enthusiasts and newcomers alike. As always, I don't necessarily agree with the conclusions of  each tweeted perspective or the analysis of every article but found within them something challenging/interesting/compelling.

On market volatility:

Thoughts on Bitcoin from a veteran in the space:

I want to say this is only for a laugh..:

Lightning network spawning new applications:

A book recommendation by Dan Larimer (non-crypto):

Reading and trading. Not a harmonious thread but worth delving into:

Ever interesting thoughts from Thibaut (non-crypto but obliquely related to trading/investing):

Very interesting analysis of BTC buying opportunities through an act of inversion and data mining:

Not bad for a mainstream media piece on crypto:

Razor-sharp analysis of fifteen alt-coins one year on (controversial but highly recommended):

A catchup on an EOS sisterchain - Worbli:

Benoit Mandelbrot's ideas on investing simplified:

The ever interesting BTC scaling related MimbleWimble project explained:

Reflections on predictions for 2018 and new fortune telling for 2019 (highly recommended):

Fascinating twist on Block Producer voting on EOSForce an EOS chain based in Asia:

Another fine interview by Matt from Trybe. One with WORBLI'S head of Commercial Relations:

Great fun by Crypto Zombie - a year's worth of collected intro crypto memes:

Somewhat dated but nonetheless perspective informing graphic on the inflated valuatations of 'everything':

Website / Utility

Lisk Academy - excellent resource with basic videos explaining basic crypto concepts. Always a range of more in-depth articles with helpful graphics. Generally, not Lisk specific content:

There you have it. I hope the post proved worth your attention. As always, looking forward to your suggestions, comments and critiques.

Note on Sources:

Twitter & Reddit (cryptos current meta-brains) / Medium / Trybe / Hackernoon / Whaleshares and so on/ YouTube / various podcasts and whatever else I stumble upon. The aim is a useful weekly aggregator of ideas rather than news. Though I try to keep the sources current – I’ll reference these articles and podcasts etc. as I encounter them – they may have been published just a couple of days ago or in some cases quite a bit earlier.
